Visiting a new church can be an intimidating experience.

We want to make sure you know what you can expect when you join us for a service at West Hills Church.

We have two “hours” of services on Sunday mornings. The first hour begins at 9AM. During this time, we offer two equipping classes, one for adults and one for young people (junior high and older - all the way up to college and young marrieds). These classes meet in Holland Hall, adjacent to our main worship center. If you have little ones, we offer supervised playrooms for them to have fun while mom and dad get to know our church! These equipping classes serve two purposes: to teach and equip our congregation with Biblical truth in an informal classroom setting, and to provide opportunity to build community through spending time with each other.

After first hour, we take a 30 minute break. This is a great time to gather your little ones from the playroom, use the restroom, get to know someone, or grab seats in the worship center.

Our main worship service starts at 10:30AM. Our main worship service is built on four main pillars: worship in the Word, worship in song, worship in fellowship, and worship in communion. This means that we will hear the Bible read and taught, we will sing songs that reflect truth from the Bible, we will interact with each other and get to know each other, and we will partake of the Lord’s Table together.

A typical Sunday morning worship service generally goes as follows:

  1. The music team will lead in an opening song of praise

  2. Pastor Scott will invite the congregation to greet one another

  3. The music team will lead family worship, consisting of three songs of praise (click here to see what kind of music we sing at WHC).

  4. The kids will be dismissed for Sunday School, led by Children’s Ministry Coordinator Debbie Bryza.

  5. Pastor Scott will invite our members to support the mission of West Hills Church through the receiving of offerings.

  6. Pastor Scott or a guest speaker will preach through a passage of the Bible (click here to listen to some of our recent sermon recordings).

  7. Pastor Scott will close with a benediction, charge, and blessing.

We hope to see you this Sunday!
